Shalomi Philip M.A.
Clinical Case Manager & Therapeutic Coach
Over the past 10 years, Shalomi has worked directly with a range of clients, including heavily system-impacted individuals with long-term serious mental health illnesses. She began her work primarily with high-needs foster youth, however has worked with a range of ages and concerns such as personality disorders, substance use, and active psychosis. Her years in residential leadership has led her to repeatedly witness the first-hand effects of complex trauma as well as to understand why there can be a resentment of services intended to help.
Shalomi has a Master’s degree in Legal & Forensic Psychology and hopes to create trauma-informed systems of healing. Much of Shalomi’s research has focused on restorative justice practices, mitigating law enforcement encounters for those with mental illnesses, and how to best uplift and encourage those who may be experiencing a distrust to treatment. From an early age, Shalomi has been committed to championing a better future for those impacted by mental health concerns while fostering hope and progress.
Throughout her work, Shalomi regularly manages crises and engages with high-stress individuals with their own dynamic personal lives. Coming from an immigrant community with limited knowledge of resources, she understands the value of being connected with the right support networks and is deeply committed to the stabilization and personal agency of her clients. Shalomi’s bi-cultural upbringing has allowed her to resonate deeply with those from all walks of life and practice humility in learning new backgrounds.
Over time, Shalomi has grown adept at being present to the distinct needs of each client while still remaining a supportive family member and friend. Outside of work, Shalomi loves cooking, picking up new art hobbies, and spending quality time with her loved ones and three cats. Shalomi enjoys listening to music and exploring new neighborhoods as well as trying new cuisines. She hopes to truly understand what “happened” to those that she works with in order to best advocate for and support them in their journey to success.
